1. Class Structure

Axis Chinese provides Chinese tuition classes for Primary level students.

  • Lesson duration: 1.5 hours

  • Frequency: Once per week

  • Teaching format: Small group lessons (target maximum 6 students per class)

2. Fees & Payment

  • Fees are billed on a monthly basis.

  • Payment must be made in advance before the start of each month.

  • A student’s seat is only confirmed once payment is received.

Axis Chinese reserves the right to pause lessons if payment is overdue.

3. Deposit

A 1-month deposit is required upon registration.
This deposit helps to reserve the student’s seat and ensure commitment.

The deposit may be used as the final month’s fee if the student withdraws with proper notice (see Withdrawal Policy below).

4. Attendance & Student Responsibility

Students are expected to attend lessons consistently and arrive on time.

Axis Chinese focuses on structured progress, and regular attendance is essential for results.

5. Make-Up Lesson Policy

Axis Chinese understands that students may occasionally be unable to attend class.

To support students, we offer a make-up arrangement under the following conditions:

  • Maximum 1 make-up lesson per month

  • Make-up lesson must be used within 30 days

  • Make-up is done by joining another class of the same level (subject to scheduling availability)

  • In some cases, the make-up class may temporarily exceed 6 students

Make-up lessons are a support arrangement and are not guaranteed.

6. No Refund Policy

Fees are charged based on the reservation of a seat and lesson preparation.
Therefore:

  • No refunds will be provided for missed lessons.

  • No pro-rating of fees for absences.

7. Teacher Absence / Class Cancellation

If Axis Chinese needs to cancel a lesson due to teacher absence or unforeseen circumstances, a replacement class will be arranged, or the lesson will be carried forward to the following month.

8. Behaviour & Learning Environment

Axis Chinese maintains a focused and respectful learning environment.

If a student repeatedly disrupts class or shows inappropriate behaviour, Axis Chinese reserves the right to request withdrawal, with deposit handling based on the Withdrawal Policy.

9. Withdrawal Policy

If parents wish to withdraw their child from Axis Chinese:

  • A minimum of 30 days notice is required.

  • If proper notice is given, the deposit may be used as the final month’s fee.

  • If notice is not given, the deposit will be forfeited.

10. Policy Updates

Axis Chinese may update these terms from time to time to improve operations.
Parents will be informed of major updates when necessary.
